What do you do when an apocalyptic comet is heading straight for Earth? This is a crisis that calls for only the most technologically advanced humans: Synthesists!
Three of the generation’s most powerful synthesists are gathered in the Necropolis, and the trio is dubbed The Lords of Synth!
It doesn’t take a gigantic feat of intellect to see that these three correspond to Vangelis, Giorgio Moroder and Wendy Carlos. Awesome.
To be honest, telling you about it just really doesn’t do it justice. You have to see this to believe it. Ladybugs and Gentlegerms, I present to you: Live at the Necropolis: Lords of Synth!
The short, originally broadcast in 2016, is the work of writers Scott Gairdner and Ryan Perez. The piece was directed by Nick Corirossi and Charles Ingram, who also appear in the film as the announcers.
The film’s name is apparently a spoof of Yanni’s PBS-televised film Live at the Acropolis, and is so hilariously awesome that we can’t stop watching!
